Wow! I can't even remember what it was I was searching for on the internet that brought me here. I just spent the past 2 hours on your music room page, listening, listening, listening. Wow and wow again, it was like swapping spit with the almighty!

Michael - The power and the presence of your personal experience and awareness transformed the room Saturday night. The pain is clear, but so is an unshakable sense of hope. You make human pain beautiful. There is a powerful sense of all that may be right in the world in your music.

Thank you for showing what comes of living and creating with absolute integrity, intent, authenticity, and clarity. And bless you for sharing your strength, power and love with those of us who were deeply fortunate to be in the room while you created music.

You make the world a better place by doing what you do.

Wow! You have a lot of great songs Michael. Four of my favorites are Pagan to the Bone, Done this Dance Before, Chief Redbird's Violin, and Apache Wind. And there are others.

Keep healing the world through music my friend! It's starting to work!

Dearest Michael

How many ways have they tried to define your work over the years and found the words wanting for greater expression? How can one define work that not only touches the senses and the heart but that also transports the listener into the presence of the universal and the Divine?

There are no words for what you do and the way you do it, nor is there another like you in this world.

Through the highs and lows of the Earth walk, many times it has been that what flows through you from those realms most can never reach which has been the river that carries me from one breath to the next.

Eternal gratitude,
Dagney

Michael- Cleaning out my basement and ran into the name Prismatic. What a blast from the past! Saw you at the Birmingham Theater in the 70's, met you, personally, via Nadine Maynard, maybe. or on my own. The memory is cloudy...thought you all were great. Googled you-you seem to have done well...Best Wishes, Susan

I'm so glad the internet makes it possible to see you perform and hear your music again. It takes me back to The Trap at Targhee. It was always good times when you boys came to play. I'll always be a fan, and proud to be able to say I know you.

A long time ago at the Palace Restaurant there was a waitress with a snake... it's good to hear your voice again--it takes me back to the Back Seat Saloon and music that just made everything right...

Warmest greetings

I miss and love you my friend, let's do "Tales" together in 2013 (or before).
I still think some boy-band choreography would be awesome in your one-man show, but that's just me thinking out loud.
Still, the universe is calling us and I lost my cell phone.

Michael my dear friend. I have missed you. Living in a small town northeast of Denver wishing there could be another human on the planet (in this town of course), with the musical vision of all life and ability to uplift souls. Still looking, until then, I wait for you to come back to Colorado some day. Hope you are well.

Amazing what can be done with a U87, a B16, some tequila and a will to work late into the night at hodencamp. Something about a Comanche moon....

Hope everyone is well, and to all a fond hello.

I found your music from your videos on YouTube. I have been listening for months. Your music has changed my life by leading me to places in myself that I had either forgotten about or never suspected were there and I want to thank you for that.
What you put into your music is exactly what the world needs today.

The gigs that touched so many hearts for so many years are what prove Buddha's first statement after attaining Enlightenment. "The meaning of life is to suffer." The suffering becomes joy once it has created wisdom, translated into beautiful lyrics and music, that touch the hearts of both you that heard and us that played. We were all touched and will forever remember all of you. Thank you for being a part of all of our dreams. Love to all, Tobias

I'm playing Chief Redbird's Violin on my MP 3 player on my breaks down here in south Florida. I proudly tell everyone "hey that's my cousin Michael who I never met-sounds great doesn't it?" I wish we had gotten a chance to play and sing together Mike-nobody harmonizes like family

While doing a search on Big Chief Redbird, I found your site. You have his fiddle?! I'm trying to gather any info I can on the veteran of the Detroit hillbilly scene. If you know where I can find out more please contact me. Thanks!

I met Michael in the winter of 1991 when my band, The Bead Band moved to Van Nuys, CA.
From the moment I shook his hand until this very moment, no one has had a more direct influence on the journey of my life than Michael. I learned more by playing music with him than a 100 lifetimes could teach me.
As my dear friend or teacher, he has taught me how live my life through my music, which is all of our music. God Bless you Miguel.

Now, Sack me Kack!

I saw Michael on Fire one evening in 1993 the year I began college- I hung onto a copy of one of his albums, got to like it, and then lost it. It's a tribute to the quality of that music that after 10 years, I occasionally would do word searches to see if he had a website. I'd be delighted to see him again, and hope he comes near Boulder, CO soon.

Just thought you'd be interested to know that there is a Michael On Fire flame burning all the way over here in Australia. We love MOF in our house. We did a national tour last year, 3 months driving all over the country, most of the time with Michael on Fire in the CD player. Especially love the Live at Tales from the Tavern CD. Good on you, Michael, the world needs your spirit right now!!

Funny thing, the Internet.I googled you and here you are.Saw you in '91 or so in a club in Tempe, AZ. Along with your uncle Ralph Colone. Those bags of cans came in handy, huh? Your drummer didn't use sticks, still the same? Ralph forgot his inhaler and some cute chick with really long hair lent him her's. You guys switched to the blues and played a great set. Later, at Marsha's house everyone was well fed. Why am I telling you this? I guess if you can live on in somebody's memory maybe you have accomplished something. The years fly, but I wish you well, and all the streams run to the sea. Take care of yourself and the very best to you in the future.Or in a lighter Irish moment, "May the wind at your back be yours!"
God Bless.
